York has been in the motor repair business for over 30 years. Our Servo Motor Repair
Division is a natural extension of this experience and knowledge. We stock most
replacement parts for the major brands York supports and can offer same day turnaround
on many motor repairs.
Our procedures require that all major components making up the servo motor are independently
tested upon motor disassembly. You can be assured that your motor will receive:
- Shaft and endbell mechanical tolerance verification
- Stator winding integrity check via resistance, megger, and surge testing
- Independent torque testing of all brake assemblies
- Verification that each feedback device (resolver, encoder, Hall Sensor, tachometer,
etc.) is working properly
- Detailed mechanical tolerance checks
- Complete electrical winding evaluation
After all necessary repair work is performed, the unit is assembled and final run
tested on the manufacturer's servo amplifier. Load testing is optional and performed
to match the manufacturer's torque/speed curve at a minimum of 3 different run speeds.
