Servo Motor Repair


York has been in the motor repair business for over 40 years. Our Servo Motor Repair Division is a natural extension of this experience and knowledge, with 20 years of experience in AC servo motor repair and 30 years in DC servo motor repair.  We stock most replacement parts for the major brands York supports and can offer same day turnaround on many motor repairs.

  • Shaft and endbell mechanical tolerance verification
  • Stator winding integrity check via resistance, megger, and surge testing
  • Independent torque testing of all brake assemblies
  • Verification that each feedback device (resolver, encoder, Hall Sensor, tachometer, etc.) is working properly
  • Detailed mechanical tolerance checks
  • Complete electrical winding evaluation

    Our procedures require that all major components making up the servo motor are independently tested upon motor disassembly.  To meet this standard, York features an in-house machine shop and winding department to facilitate a full-service repair.  You can be assured that your motor will receive:

    After all necessary repair work is performed by our factory-trained technicians, the unit is assembled and final run tested on the manufacturer's servo amplifier. Load testing is optional and performed to match the manufacturer's torque/speed curve at a minimum of three different run speeds.
